Alex McMunn brings over a decade of experience from the front lines of Managed IT Services, where he developed a reputation for mastering complex technical challenges and supporting diverse client environments. His career began at Isofusion, where he advanced from Tier 1 helpdesk to Network Operations Center technician, gaining hands-on expertise with Linux, Cisco, Windows, virtualization platforms, and firewall technologies while supporting enterprise networks and fiber-to-the-home communities across the Pacific Northwest.
That first-hand experience launched his career in the telecom industry and ultimately led him to become a Senior Systems Administrator and Network Engineer, where he managed IT infrastructure for more than 300 users and devices. His work included designing backup and failover systems that prevented costly downtime, implementing cybersecurity and compliance initiatives including CMMC and NIST 800-171, and engineering VPN, WAN, and cloud integrations leveraging Microsoft Azure. Along the way, he demonstrated a strong commitment to risk management, uncovering vulnerabilities, launching Splunk SIEM for monitoring, and driving security awareness across the organization.
Today, as Lead Technology Consultant at Traxx IT, Alex is both the technical backbone of operations and a trusted advisor to clients. Fully CompTIA-certified and pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, he brings deep knowledge of network infrastructure, endpoint management, and security protocols to ensure client systems remain stable, secure, and optimized for long-term success.
